Upper Valley Futsal League: High School
Coordinated by: Hartford Soccer Club & Hartford Parks & Rec Department

Payment for program goes to your team coordinator.  Please complete the registration process.  No money will be collected through the registration process with Hartford Parks & Recreation. 
Thanks for your interest in the League.  This is our first (learning) year.  Thanks to the dedication and hard work of several key volunteers, including administrative and logistical support from the Hartford Soccer club & the Hartford Parks & Rec Department, we aim to build a program that will offer a quality experience for participants and sustain its success in future years.   Please offer us your understanding and assistance as we iron out any kinks.

What is Futsal?

  • Futsal is similar to but different than indoor soccer; teams are strongly advised to closely review the official FIFA guide to Futsal Coaching linked here and distribute this and/or this simpler guide to players.  Additional tips and strategies for Futsal are plentiful on the web including this detailed FIFA overview of the laws of the game.

  • Shoes must be dry sneakers or flats dedicated to indoor play (no outside shoes, turf shoes or cleats).

League Rules will be issued closer to the start of the season and are being developed in coordination with Carlos Fleming & Ramon Levia (formerly coordinators and refs for Grantham Indoor).


  • Dates: November 11 - March 10; approx. 15 games (no games on 12/23, 12/30, others in Feb around school breaks or holidays TBD); possible end-of-season round robin (TBD)

  • Times: Sunday afternoons from 2-8 pm (teams will be scheduled on a rotating basis)

  • Place: White River School Elementary School Gym, White River Junction, VT

  • Cost per team (min. 8 teams/max. 12 teams): $1,000 due in full at time of registration and payable by check (made out to Hartford Parks & Rec Dept) or credit card (subject to 3.5% processing fee).   Cost includes referee and coordinator time, equipment purchases - balls/nets/scoreboard, and gym clean-up costs after each game and at the end of the season. 

  • Teams are expected to cover all costs beyond League payments including purchase of game jerseys.

  • Registration Deadline: Friday, 11/2 (Teams confirmed during the week of 10/29

  • NOTE: Teams will be accepted on a first come, first served basis. In this first year, out of fairness to all towns who might wish to participate, we cannot accept more than 2 teams per town.


  • Coaches: You must create an individual account on the Hartford Parks & Rec Dept website and register your team with Town name (note: if signing up two teams you must name them Town Name 1 and Town Name 2); payment is due at time of registration.  Note: Coaches must also register with an assistant coach or volunteer who will help with score keeping and other administrative duties.

  • Players: All players must register with their team on, under the town name their Coach has listed, prior to participating in the first game. Parents/Guardians over the age of 18, must first, create a household account and add their child to the account as a member, prior to registering the player in the league.

PRE-SEASON MANDATORY MEETING FOR COACHES & VOLUNTEERS (to review space, rules & regs, roles & responsibilities): Saturday, 11/10 from 5-7 pm
