Volunteer Coaches are needed for Youth Lacrosse. Registration Deadline: April 16th   This is an introduction to the game of lacrosse for boys and girls in grades K-2. The program will teach the fundamentals of lacrosse in a fun, positive and safe environment. This will be a non-contact, non-equipment program. Players will be broken out into groups and rotate as a team between four teaching stations each week. Age appropriate equipment is used in teaching shooting, passing, catching, cradling, stick handling and running and agility. Equipment will be available. Each participant receives a t-shirt.

Start Smart Baseball is a developmentally appropriate introductory baseball program for children 3-5 years old. Start Smart Baseball prepares children and their parents for organized baseball and softball without the threat of competition or the fear of getting hurt. Parents work one-on-one with their own child, practicing a variety of baseball skills while rotating through four skill stations: throwing, catching, hitting and running / agility.  Participants will be supplied with a Shirt and Hat and need to bring their own baseball glove and a water bottle.No practice on May 19th*

Walking is one of the healthiest, safest and easiest ways to begin a fitness program. Maxfield Monday Walks:Each week, the group will enjoy a 60-minute walk at the Maxfield Outdoor Sports Complex. This is a great way to get outside, exercise and socialize with others. Approx. 2.5 miles. For Maxfield Monday Walks, meet at Pavilion B by 9:00 a.m. Hikes: Bring shoes/boots, appropriate clothing, water bottle and a snack. Easy to intermediate terrain. Group will hike 2.5-3 miles.For all hikes, meet at the Hartford Town Hall at 9:00am. Pre-Register online www.hartfordrec.comWe must have a minimum of 3 participants for each activity. For hikes, transportation to and from is available with the HPRD van.

Join Parks & Rec for an afternoon of fun in the Parks! Kids can take in an array of fun, physical activity, sports, enrichment, arts, enjoy a snack, and best of all, make lasting friendships. Sign up by the day. $10 per day. Park locations are listed in the registration.In the event of inclement weather and we cannot be outdoors, the program will be canceled for that day.Parents will drop-off/pick-up at the Park. COVID Safety Procedures will be in place.
