This summer HPAC will be offering half day sessionsCampers can sign up for a half day session of concert/band and/or a half day session of acting/dancing.Concert Band SessionDates: August 3 - August 7, 2020Time:   Entering Grades 6-7: 9:00 AM - 12:00 PMEntering Grades 8-9: 1:00 PM - 4:00 PMLocation: Hartford High School GymCost: $80.00 Minimum/Maximum Capacity: 10/20Prerequisites: To sign up for band, you must have previously been playing a concert band instrument for at least one year (flute, oboe, clarinet, bass clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, French horn, trombone, baritone, tuba, percussion). To sign up for band, you must bring your own instrument to camp (if you have been borrowing one from the Hartford School District, you may continue to do so). SOLID is committed to individual development built on a strong foundation. No experience necessary. Spencer Brown is the Director of Strength & Conditioning at the collegiate level. He has a Master's Degree in Exercise Science with a concentration in Performance Enhancement & Injury Prevention. He was a four-year letter winner as a Division I college football player.

6:00 PM - 7:00 PM    Summer Flag Football - Summer Flag Football
This non-contact flag football program is a perfect introduction to the game for the young athlete or for those who simply want to brush up on their skills in preparation for the fall program. The program is designed to create an atmosphere that encourages all players to learn and develop fundamental football skills in a non-contact environment. Players will learn techniques to help them excel such as passing, receiving and footwork, in addition to speed and agility work to help with their physical literacy. Offensive and defensive principles will be addressed as participants continue to learn the game and develop their understanding of team concepts and sportsmanship.
 
6:00 PM - 7:30 PM    Pickleball at Maxfield - Pickleball
Hartford Parks & Recreation has 4 Pickleball Courts which are located at The Maxfield Sports Complex. Pickleball is a paddle sport created for all ages and skill levels. The rules are simple and the game is easy for beginners to learn, but can develop into a quick, fast-paced, competitive game for experienced players. We always welcome new players. Come give it a try! We have equipment on-site that can be loaned out if you need it. This is great exercise for all ages!

Hartford Parks & Recreation has 4 Pickleball Courts which are located at The Maxfield Sports Complex. Pickleball is a paddle sport created for all ages and skill levels. The rules are simple and the game is easy for beginners to learn, but can develop into a quick, fast-paced, competitive game for experienced players. We always welcome new players. Come give it a try! We have equipment on-site that can be loaned out if you need it. This is great exercise for all ages!

This non-contact flag football program is a perfect introduction to the game for the young athlete or for those who simply want to brush up on their skills in preparation for the fall program. Players will learn techniques to help them excel such as passing, receiving and footwork, in addition to speed and agility work to help with their physical literacy. Offensive and defensive principles will be addressed as participants continue to learn the game and develop their understanding of team concepts and sportsmanship.

Hartford Parks & Recreation has 4 Pickleball Courts which are located at The Maxfield Sports Complex. Pickleball is a paddle sport created for all ages and skill levels. Hartford Parks & Recreation has 4 Pickleball Courts which are located at The Maxfield Sports Complex. Pickleball is a paddle sport created for all ages and skill levels. The rules are simple and the game is easy for beginners to learn, but can develop into a quick, fast-paced, competitive game for experienced players. We always welcome new players. Come give it a try! We have equipment on-site that can be loaned out if you need it. This is great exercise for all ages!
