Camp Ventures CIT - Learn. Grow. Lead.
By taking part in our Counselor-in-Training program, your child will make lasting friendships, while enjoying many benefits from their experience. CITs are typically former campers who would like the opportunity to continue participating in the Camp Ventures Program in a leadership role, assisting camp counselors with camp activities. These young adults will acquire invaluable leadership and mentoring skills that will assist them in future endeavors and provide them with the experience and skills it takes to be a future camp counselor. CITs will also go on exciting teen trips off site, chaperoned by Parks & Rec staff.
Registrations are limited, interested applicants must pick-up an application and submit it back to the Recreation Department prior to the deadline. Please click the link to the CIT Packet for all pertinent information.
CITs who participated in our 2025 program can reach out directly to Tatum Barnes to bypass the application process.
Summer CIT Application Deadline: April 17th, 2026 by 5:00pm
CIT Interviews will take place the week of April 27th
Full Summer - June 22nd through August 14th
Participation for the entire summer is preferred, but not required.
