  • 10/15/2020 WABA Announcement: 
     
    The following COVID-19 Guidance is put into place for those individuals that utilize the Wendell A. Barwood Arena:
     
    At this time, participants from bordering states, such as neighboring NH - Grafton County who are currently within COVID-19 Yellow must quarantine for 14 days if they plan to partake in non-essential WABA activities and programs that use the facility.   Participants/individuals from neighboring NH, such as Grafton County, that have self-quarantined at their residence or home schooled and self-quarantined for 14 days at their residence or currently tested negative for Corona Virus within the past 48 hours are considered exempt.
     
    Participants/individuals from Vermont Cities and Towns, Vermont Counties are NOT restricted from participating/attending but must follow the State of Vermont Guidelines for COVID-19 and the COVID-19 Operating Guidelines for WABA Arena.
     
    It is imperative, as we begin operations at the WABA Arena that everyone follow the COVID-19 Operating Guidelines.  A copy of the guidelines can be found on Hartfordrec.com by viewing the scrolling program highlights below.  EVERYONE who enters the facility must wear a mask at all times, practice social distancing while in the facility, wash and sanitize your hands frequently.  Participants/individuals are not allowed to enter the facility if you have a temperature of 100.4 or greater, experiencing a cough, shortness of breath, sore throat, loss of taste or any form of illness.  Please do not utilize the WABA facility if you are sick or experiencing any of the above symptoms.
     
    As a reminder, skating groups/participants are required to provide their own program health screening.  For group organizations, health screening logs should be readily available to the Department of Health if exposure during your use has occurred.  Public skating participants and other drop-in programs require you to conduct your own personal health screening before entering the facility.  PUBLIC SKATING REQUIRES A PRE-REGISTRATION TO ATTEND.
     
    The guidance for use of the facility will be updated as needed.

Processing Fee for Credit/Debit card purchases: ALL registrations completed with a credit or 
debit card will be charged a processing fee. The processing fee is calculated by using 3.5% of your total purchase. This processing fee will be applied as a separate charge during checkout. Online registration is here for your convenience; you can register for programs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week from the comfort of your own home or mobile device.

General Refund Policy:
If you are dissatisfied with a program after the first session/class, you must submit a written explanation to Hartford Parks & Recreation prior to the second session/class to be eligible to receive a refund. Written explanation must be sent to recreation@hartford-vt.org. In the event of an extended illness or injury, we must be notified immediately and we will issue a pro-rated refund. A medical and/or doctor explanation will be required.
Discounted amusement park tickets, discounted ski/snowboard tickets, one day programs, community events that involve ticket sales, and bus trips are non-refundable.
An effort will be made to schedule a make-up date if a class/program/game is canceled due to any causes beyond our control. If this is not possible, no partial refund will be provided.
Refunds will be applied as a Household credit unless otherwise requested. Processed refund requests, other than a Household Credit, will be charged a $5.00 cancellation fee. This does not apply to our Camp Ventures.

Camp Ventures Cancellation/Refund Policy:
Cancellations/refunds for Camp Ventures will be assessed a $25 fee per session. Cancellations must be made at least ten business days prior to each camp session’s start date. Cancellations made less than ten business days prior to session start date are non-refundable.
Full refunds (less credit card convenience fee (if applicable) will be issued for programs cancelled or altered by the Hartford Parks & Recreation Department.
Credit/Debit Card Convenience Fees: Applicable credit/debit card convenience fees are non-refundable.
Refunds may take three to four weeks to process. No cash refunds.
