Registration Deadlines:
Majors/Minors: April 1st
Rookies: April 18th
This youth baseball program is open to Hartford residents only. All registered participants will receive a team shirt and team cap.
Required Equipment (provided by family):
- Baseball glove
- Gray baseball pants (optional for Rookies)
- Cleats
- Baseball helmet
If you are unable to provide a baseball helmet, please contact Jay McDonough at jmcdonough@hartford-vt.org. The Parks & Recreation Department can provide a helmet for use during the season.
Majors Baseball Program
Grades: 5th & 6th Grade
Schedule:
- Practices/Games: Monday, Wednesday, Friday
- Possible Times: 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM (Exact times will depend on # of teams)
If multiple teams are formed, players will be divided evenly by skill level. Majors Baseball follows Cal Ripken rules and participates in the Upper Valley Cal Ripken League. An end-of-season tournament will take place in early June.

Location: Outside at Maxfield or indoors at WABA (weather dependent)
Monday, April 6th
- 5th Grade: 5:30 PM – 6:30 PM
- 6th Grade: 6:30 PM – 7:30 PM
Minors Baseball Program
Grades: 3rd & 4th Grade
Schedule:
- Practices/Games: Tuesday & Thursday
- Possible Times: 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM (Exact times will depend on # of teams)
- Saturdays: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM (Exact times will depend on # of teams)
If multiple teams are formed, players will be divided evenly by skill level. Minors Baseball follows Cal Ripken rules and competes in the Upper Valley Cal Ripken League. An end-of-season tournament will take place in early June.

Rookies Baseball Program
The Rookies program is more advanced than Lil’ Hitters, while still emphasizing skill development, fundamentals, and FUN. Games are played on a field with 60-foot bases, and coaches pitch to players.
Schedule:
- Practices: Monday & Wednesday
- In-house games
- Times vary between 5:00 PM – 7:30 PM
Teams will be divided evenly to promote balanced play and development.
