Get outside this winter and enjoy one of our great local mountains!
Participants must be a independent/competent skiers/riders. 
Lessons will not be offered.
This is a free ski/ride program with supervision by HPRD Staff.
Helmets are mandatory. 

Participants must purchase a Whaleback Pass separately click here for more info.
The registration through Parks & Rec secures you a spot in the van to and from the Hartford Town Hall.

What: Skiing and Riding at Whaleback Mountain
When: Tuesdays, 1/16/23 - 2/27/23
Program Time: 3:00pm-6:30pm
Who: Hartford 3rd-8th Graders
Transportation to/from & supervision at the mountain provided by Hartford Parks & Recreation.




  • Program meets for drop-off and pick-up at the Hartford Town Hall.


  • Depart Town Hall at 3:00pm.... Return at 6:30pm


  • Parents/guardians must sign up with Hartford Rec for the transportation piece. To sign up for your lift tickets ore rentals with Whaleback, click here. Only 13 spots available in the van.


  • Children may still participate if van is full, but parent/guardian must provide transportation to and from Whaleback.


  • If renting equipment, participant(s) MUST come to a fit day PRIOR to the start of the program. Fit days TBD.
