MISSION: To provide a safe environment for all children where they can experience friendships, expand their creativity, learn new things and have FUN.
The CAMP VENTURES summer camp is a full day program offering eight week-long sessions.
At Camp Ventures, we offer an authentic camp experience with limited technological interactions. We believe that every kid should have the opportunity to be their authentic selves in a safe and supportive community.

CAMP HOURS: 8:00am – 4:30pm
Camp Location: Wendell A. Barwood Arena (WABA), Hartford Memorial Middle School (HMMS)
Cost: $220/Resident . . . $235/Non-Resident . . . Per Camper/Per Week
Explorers Group – for campers who have completed Kindergarten, 1st grade or 2nd grade
Adventurers Group - for campers who have completed 3rd grade, 4th grade or 5th grade
Pathfinders Group - for campers who have completed 6th grade or 7th grade
Camp Venture Scholarships:
All children deserve to have a summer camp experience. If you are in a position to give, please consider clicking the "Camp Venture Scholarship Fund" activity below and making a donation.
If you require financial aid, please reach out to our office for scholarship opportunities (recreation@hartford-vt.org).
Summer Lunch Program:
Camp Ventures is pleased to offer a Free Summer Food Program this summer! All campers attending Camp Ventures this Summer can receive lunch every day they attend camp at no extra cost.
During registration, please indicate whether you'd like to take advantage of this program - it allows us to better anticipate the number of meals we require week to week.
Payment Options:
A deposit of $50 per week is required at the time of registration.
Balance must be paid in full by May 22nd.
You are welcome to pay in full at any time.
*NOTE* Failure to pay your camp balance will result in immediate removal from the camp roster and you will forfeit your deposit.
Important Camp Dates:
- Week One will start on Monday 6/22
- There will be no camp on Friday 7/3
- Camp will close on at 2:00pm on Friday, July 10th & 31st for staff development.
- Camp Pick-up will take place at the Maxfield Sports Complex by 4:30pm on the following dates –6/26, 7/10, 7/17, 7/31, 8/7 & 8/13
- There will be no Pathfinders week 8 due to staffing
Camp Dates & Field Trips:
- All field trips are subject to change
- Week One (6/22-6/26): SkyZone
- Week Two (6/29-7/2): Explorers - Lake Sunapee, Adventurers / Pathfinders - Silver Lake
- Week Three (7/6-7/10): Chuck E. Cheese
- Week Four (7/13-7/17): Squam Lake
- Week Five (7/20-7/24): Explorers - Lake Sunapee, Adventurers / Pathfinders - Silver Lake
- Week Six (7/27-7/31): SkyZone
- Week Seven (8/3-8/7): Explorers - Lake Sunapee, Adventurers / Pathfinders - Silver Lake
- Week Eight (8/10-8/14): Chuck E. Cheese
Pathfinders have trips Tuesdays. Adventurers have trips Wednesdays. Explorers have trips Thursdays.
Pathfinders will have an extra trip on Thursdays - locations to be determined - including, but not limited to:
Rock Climbing at The Notch (Lebanon)
Swimming at The White River (West Hartford)
Bowling at Valley Bowl (Randolph)
And much more!
Camp Communication:
A weekly communication email will be sent out the Friday prior to camp. The letter will contain important information about what activities will be occurring at camp each week along with any important camp communication.
While your child is in our program, we encourage parent input and participation. To help us interact with your child, parents are encouraged to share events that may be affecting your child (parents being away, emotional upsets, etc.).
Sibling Discounts:
Receive $15 off your registration when signing up a sibling(s) for a week of camp.
No coupons or codes. Simply register all your attending children at the same time for the same session and the savings are automatically applied.
Camp Cancellations:
If you decide to cancel a week of Camp Ventures, a written explanation must be emailed to recreation@hartford-vt.org
Camp Ventures cancellations will be assessed a $50 (non-refundable) fee per session. The $50.00 deposited fee may be transferred to another week of camp if changes are made before June 12th.
To be eligible for a refund or credit except the deposit fee, cancellations must be made by June 12, 2026.
No refunds or credits will be issued on cancellations made after June 12, 2026.
Credit/Debit Card Convenience Fees: Applicable credit/debit card convenience fees are non-refundable. Refunds may take three to four weeks to process. No cash refunds.
