Instructor: Connor Looney, PMBIA Intermediate Instructor, Upper Valley Borderline Race Team Coach since 2024.
This four week program is designed for riders ages 9-13 who want to build confidence and improve trail riding skills. Sessions focus on fundamental mountain biking techniques including: body position, braking, corning, balance, obstacle negotiation, and safe trail etiquette. Instruction will follow skill progressions from PMBIA teaching framework and combine fun skill drills with short trail rides to practice what we learned. The goal is to help young riders become safer and more confident on local trails and develop a love of mountain biking.
Requirements: Participants must have a bike with gears, hand brakes in good working conditions, properly fitted helmet, closed-toe shoes, water bottle and a snack.
