Refund Policy

Please read carefully

I am fully aware of the risk inherent and hereby give consent for the above-names Applicant to participate in the program offered by the Hartford Parks & Recreation Department, and hereby releases the Town of Hartford, any of its elected or appointed officials or instructors from any and all liability from injuries, claims, demands, costs, loss of service, expenses and/or damages which may be sustained by me or us or our minor children on account of his or her participation in said program or assorted activities and events. As a matter of caution, the Department strongly recommends that you have accident and health insurance in force when you take part in a Hartford Parks and Recreation Program.

I hereby give consent for my child to receive medical treatment which may be deemed advisable in the event of injury, accident and/or illness during this event.

Photo Policy:
I also consent to the use of my or my child’s photo, video, artwork etc. by the dept for flyers, presentations , electronic communication, etc.  If you do not wish for us to use your or your child's image or artwork, you must send this request in writing with each program registration to 

General Refund Policy
If you are dissatisfied with a program after the first session/class, you must submit a written explanation to Hartford Parks & Recreation prior to the second session/class to be eligible to receive a refund.  Written explanation must be sent to recreation@hartford-vt.org.  In the event of an extended illness or injury, we must be notified immediately and we will issue a pro-rated refund.  A medical and/or doctor explanation will be required.  
Discounted amusement park tickets, discounted ski/snowboard tickets, one day programs, community events that involve ticket sales, and bus trips are non-refundable.
An effort will be made to schedule a make-up date if a class/program/game is canceled due to any causes beyond our control. If this is not possible, no partial refund will be provided.  
Refunds will be applied as a Household credit unless otherwise requested.  Processed refund requests, other than a Household Credit, will be charged a $5.00 cancellation fee.
Camp Ventures Cancellation/Refund Policy
Cancellations/refunds for Camp Ventures will be assessed a $25 fee per session. Cancellations must be made at least ten business days prior to each camp session’s start date. Cancellations made less than ten business days prior to session start date are non-refundable.
Full refunds (less credit card convenience fee (if applicable) will be issued for programs cancelled or altered by the Hartford Parks & Recreation Department.
Credit/Debit Card Convenience Fees:  Applicable credit/debit card convenience fees are non-refundable.  
Refunds may take three to four weeks to process.  No cash refunds.
