Pickleball Active Play Pass: Pickleball might be a strange name, but it's a ton of fun! Pickleball is a paddle sport created for all ages and skill levels. The rules are simple, and the game is easy for beginners to learn, but can develop into a quick, fast-paced, competitive game for experienced players. We always welcome new players. Come give it a try! We have equipment on-site that can be used if you need it. This is great exercise and lots of fun for all ages!

The Little Hitters program is the perfect introduction to baseball and softball for your young slugger! The Little Hitters program is designed to develop skills including hitting, catching, throwing, and base running. Using age-appropriate equipment, children will learn the fundamentals and rules of the game in a safe and structured environment. Each session consists of a series of fun games, and activities that encourage skill development, teamwork, and most importantly, fun! Participants need to bring their own glove and a water bottle to practice.COACHING: Coaches are needed at all teams. Wednesday Hikes:Trip Leader: Hartford Parks & Recreation Staff Get outside and enjoy socializing and getting exercise the old-fashioned way on these moderately difficult hikes. Experience the spring season in the woods. Bring hiking shoes/boots and appropriate clothing as well as water and a snack.Hikes are moderately difficult and can be strenuous. Previous hiking experience is necessary. For more information about the hikes, cancellations and to sign-up, visit www.hartfordrec.com or contact the Hartford Rec Office, 802-295-5036. For all hikes, meet at the Hartford Town HallTransportation to and from is available with HPRD. Minimum of 3 hikers needed for hikes. Pre-registration is highly encouraged.Maxfield Monday Walks:Each week, the group will enjoy a 60-minute walk at the Maxfield Outdoor Sports Complex. This is a great way to get outside, exercise, and socialize with others. Approximate mileage 2-2.5. Meet at Pavilion B by 8:15am.

Pickleball Active Play Pass: Pickleball might be a strange name, but it's a ton of fun! Pickleball is a paddle sport created for all ages and skill levels. The rules are simple, and the game is easy for beginners to learn, but can develop into a quick, fast-paced, competitive game for experienced players. We always welcome new players. Come give it a try! We have equipment on-site that can be used if you need it. This is great exercise and lots of fun for all ages!

Wednesday Hikes:Trip Leader: Hartford Parks & Recreation Staff Get outside and enjoy socializing and getting exercise the old-fashioned way on these moderately difficult hikes. Experience the spring season in the woods. Bring hiking shoes/boots and appropriate clothing as well as water and a snack.Hikes are moderately difficult and can be strenuous. Previous hiking experience is necessary. For more information about the hikes, cancellations and to sign-up, visit www.hartfordrec.com or contact the Hartford Rec Office, 802-295-5036. For all hikes, meet at the Hartford Town HallTransportation to and from is available with HPRD. Minimum of 3 hikers needed for hikes. Pre-registration is highly encouraged.Maxfield Monday Walks:Each week, the group will enjoy a 60-minute walk at the Maxfield Outdoor Sports Complex. This is a great way to get outside, exercise, and socialize with others. Approximate mileage 2-2.5. Meet at Pavilion B by 8:15am.

Experience the spring season in the woods. Bring hiking shoes/boots and appropriate clothing as well as water and a snack.Hikes are moderately difficult and can be strenuous. Pickleball Season Pass - Pickleball Play Pass
Pickleball Active Play Pass: Pickleball might be a strange name, but it's a ton of fun! Pickleball is a paddle sport created for all ages and skill levels. The rules are simple, and the game is easy for beginners to learn, but can develop into a quick, fast-paced, competitive game for experienced players. We always welcome new players. Come give it a try! We have equipment on-site that can be used if you need it. This is great exercise and lots of fun for all ages!

The Little Hitters program is the perfect introduction to baseball and softball for your young slugger! The Little Hitters program is designed to develop skills including hitting, catching, throwing, and base running. Using age-appropriate equipment, children will learn the fundamentals and rules of the game in a safe and structured environment. Each session consists of a series of fun games, and activities that encourage skill development, teamwork, and most importantly, fun! Participants need to bring their own glove and a water bottle to practice.COACHING: Coaches are needed at all teams. Wednesday Hikes:Trip Leader: Hartford Parks & Recreation Staff Get outside and enjoy socializing and getting exercise the old-fashioned way on these moderately difficult hikes. Experience the spring season in the woods. Bring hiking shoes/boots and appropriate clothing as well as water and a snack.Hikes are moderately difficult and can be strenuous. Previous hiking experience is necessary. For more information about the hikes, cancellations and to sign-up, visit www.hartfordrec.com or contact the Hartford Rec Office, 802-295-5036. For all hikes, meet at the Hartford Town HallTransportation to and from is available with HPRD. Minimum of 3 hikers needed for hikes. Pre-registration is highly encouraged.Maxfield Monday Walks:Each week, the group will enjoy a 60-minute walk at the Maxfield Outdoor Sports Complex. This is a great way to get outside, exercise, and socialize with others. Approximate mileage 2-2.5. Meet at Pavilion B by 8:15am.

Pickleball Active Play Pass: Pickleball might be a strange name, but it's a ton of fun! Pickleball is a paddle sport created for all ages and skill levels. The rules are simple, and the game is easy for beginners to learn, but can develop into a quick, fast-paced, competitive game for experienced players. We always welcome new players. Come give it a try! We have equipment on-site that can be used if you need it. This is great exercise and lots of fun for all ages!

Registration Deadlines: Majors/Minors: April 1st Rookies: April 18th Youth Baseball program is for Hartford Residents only. All participants will be issued a team shirt and team cap. Participants must supply their own gloves, gray pants, cleats, and helmet. (Gray pants are optional for Rookies). If you are unable to provide your own baseball helmet, please contact Jay McDonough, jmcdonough@hartford-vt.org. The Parks & Rec Dept will issue you a helmet to use for the season The Majors Baseball Program is for players in 5th & 6th Grade. (Days: M,W,F, Sat) Times may vary between 5pm-8pm on weekdays. Saturday are reserved for make-up games only. If we have multiple teams, teams are divided equally by skill level. Majors Baseball will play by the Cal Ripken rules and be part of the Upper Valley Cal Ripken League. End of season tournament will take place in early June. MAJORS Skills Assessments – Outside at Maxfield or Indoors at WABA (weather dependent)Monday, April 7th 5th Graders: 5:30PM - 6:30PM 6th Graders: 6:30PM - 7:30PM The Minors Baseball Program is for players in 3rd & 4th Grade. Little Hitters Baseball - Lil' Hitters - Age 5
The Little Hitters program is the perfect introduction to baseball and softball for your young slugger! The Little Hitters program is designed to develop skills including hitting, catching, throwing, and base running. Using age-appropriate equipment, children will learn the fundamentals and rules of the game in a safe and structured environment. Each session consists of a series of fun games, and activities that encourage skill development, teamwork, and most importantly, fun! Participants need to bring their own glove and a water bottle to practice.COACHING: Coaches are needed at all teams. If you are available and/or willing please email Jay McDonough, jmcdonough@hartford-vt.org. You will be asked to coach your child’s team.
